Bastion header image

Bastion

critical Threat
Heavy Armor

A serious presence in any arena, a slow, hulking crab-like ARC armed with a powerful minigun that will rip through hostiles not behind hard cover. Its frontal 'face' is heavily armored and almost impenetrable to Raider weapons, use your agility to flank behind it and damage its rear mechanisms and joints, be careful of its supporting aerial ARCs like Wasps and Hornets.

Bombardier header image

Bombardier

critical Threat
Heavy Armor

A towering long-range artillery ARC, the Bombardier rains mortar fire on Raiders from a distance with the aid of its Spotter drones that paint your exact position, its shells can curve onto your path or thread cleanly through windows and gaps you'd normally trust as cover. Look for its yellow kneecaps on each leg and the yellow cylinder mounted on its rear, crippling the joints slows it down and exposes soft inner mechanisms, while destroying the rear cylinder can shut it down rapidly. Prioritize clearing its Spotters to disrupt its pinpoint targeting, then punish the Bombardier in the brief window after it fires, when it's most vulnerable, before the drones inevitably respawn and the barrage resumes.

Comet header image

Comet

moderate Threat
Heavy Armor

Few things focus the mind like an armored ball of explosives that come charging at high speed. The Comet is a spherical ARC unit that resembles the Surveyor; a visual similarity has deceived many a Raider. The Comet, however, seems to exist for one singular purpose: to get up close and detonate. Often found guarding heavy machines, the Comet serves as a brutal deterrent against Raiders who attempt flanking tactics. When it acquires a target it accelerates with alarming speed, and triggers its self-destruct once it's near enough to guarantee damage. Its blast radius is generous and unforgiving, as grouped-up squads have learned the hard way. Its armor plating protects its core, but it opens up when it charges, exposing its vulnerable innards. However, even when exposed, hitting such a fast-moving weak spot requires a particularly skilled trigger finger. Experienced Raiders treat the Comet as a priority target, dropping it before engaging whatever it's protecting. The alternative is fighting a Bastion while a live bomb circles for an opening. Shani suspects ARC deployed them specifically in response to Raider flanking tactics - another sign that the machines are learning.

Fireball header image

Fireball

high Threat
Heavy Armor

An armored rolling incendiary unit, upgraded from the Pop. When it commits, a frontal flamethrower engulfs the surrounding area. Its weak core is only vulnerable during the attack, the rest of its shell is reinforced with plenty of armor making it difficult to deal with.

Firefly header image

Firefly

moderate Threat
Medium Armor

A nastier relative to the standard Hornet, it trades its electric shock for a flamethrower capable of engulfing Raiders in seconds. Its heavy plating makes it just as difficult to bring down as its shocking sibling, but the threat it poses up close is considerably worse. They sometimes join regular Hornets and Wasps on their patrols. They often hang back until a Raider is already engaged before swooping in to flush them from cover. Veterans have learned to pick them out early - the fuel tank gives them a slightly different flight profile. The flamethrower fuel tank is also their weakness. A well-placed shot turns the machine into a brief but spectacular fireball. Some Raiders have taken to igniting them deliberately near other ARC machines, though the timing required makes this a gambler's trick. Apollo has been seen tinkering with its parts for weeks, muttering something about 'portable heating solutions.'

Hornet header image

Hornet

high Threat
Medium Armor

A medium sized ARC drone with two armored front rotors, the Hornet patrols with Wasps or hovers over POIs and ground ARCs. After a short lock-on it fires an electrified stun round that rips through shields and leaves Raiders paralyzed in place; its semi-plated chassis shrugs off light fire. Flank to hit the exposed rear thrusters or bring heavy weapons to brute-force through its armor.

Leaper header image

Leaper

critical Threat
Heavy Armor

An aggressive walker ARC, fast, nimble and capable of leaping long distances. It will actively hunt Raiders, using its massive weight to smash them into the ground. Be careful of being within its proximity as it will release an energy shockwave that will stun Raiders and deplete their shields. Its 'eye' and joints are its only weak spots.

Matriarch header image

Matriarch

extreme Threat
Heavy Armor

A colossal ARC, the Matriarch is the largest machine Raiders have encountered, dwarfing even the Queen and only manifesting under specific high-threat conditions. It saturates the battlefield with explosive rocket salvos and gas mortars that leave lethal clouds lingering across your escape routes, forcing you to keep moving or choke. When pressured, the Matriarch can deploy a heavy energy shield that soaks incoming fire. It will call in supporting ARCs, including Fireballs, Wasps, Leapers, Bastions, Bombardiers, and Rocketeers to escalate any encounter into a full-scale siege.

Pop header image

Pop

moderate Threat
No Armor

A small, unarmored rolling ARC, the Pop waits for a Raider to get close - then it opens its sides and vents a short-range flame jet to flush raiders from cover. Weaker and lighter than its Fireball cousin, target its core as it attacks to take it out quickly.

Queen header image

Queen

extreme Threat
Heavy Armor

The pinnacle of the ARCs, unmatched on weapons and armor. Typically guarding the harvester, she will be a struggle even for a coordinated group of Raiders. She possesses devastating mortars, a high-powered laser that will melt through shields, EMP pulses and six legs that will crush you in an instant. Be prepared for a long fight, bring plenty of ammo and meds; focus on her leg joints to bring her down.

Rocketeer header image

Rocketeer

critical Threat
Heavy Armor

A flying, heavily-armored rocket platform, armed with high-explosive rockets with a huge-range, causing area-of-denial coverage; slow movement is its only saving grace. As with all flying ARCs, its engines are its achilles heel, but good luck landing shots on them as your vicinity is exploding around you.

Sentinel header image

Sentinel

high Threat
No Armor

The long-range heavy-hitting upgrade to the turret, it waits atop rooftops and cliff edges, periodically sniping hostiles that come into view. Conversely, it can't take punishment in return, its tracking and stabilization mechanism is not armored and a few accurate shots will take it out of action.

Shredder header image

Shredder

high Threat
Heavy Armor

A brutal close-quarters ARC found in Stella Montis, the Shredder rushes you down and blankets tight spaces with shrapnel blasts, punishing anyone who can't keep distance or use cover.

Snitch header image

Snitch

low Threat
No Armor

An unarmed, three-rotor reconnaissance drone, the Snitch is ARC's airborne early-warning system. Small and unarmored, it poses little direct threat, but the moment it spots a Raider it lets out a piercing alarm and broadcasts your location, summoning a wave of Wasps and Hornets within seconds; take it out quickly or brace for the swarm.

Spotter header image

Spotter

high Threat
No Armor

A high-priority support ARC with weak armor, the Spotter doesn't attack directly but paints you so Bombardiers can shell you from extreme range and even from behind cover that would normally keep you safe. Dropping both Spotters will 'blind' the Bombardier and is often the key to surviving an engagement, though they respawn quickly, so you can't rely on it as a permanent solution. Use its vulnerability and behavior against it and focus fire to shred its light defenses, move into buildings the Bombardier can't reach, break the Spotter's line of sight to sever its targeting beam.

Surveyor header image

Surveyor

low Threat
Heavy Armor

Largest rolling ARC, a heavily armored metal sphere with no ranged attack, instead it will charge hostiles hoping to crush them with weight and speed. Raiders will have to peel away many layers of plating before reaching its vulnerable core.

Tick header image

Tick

low Threat
No Armor

A small, unarmored ARC that clings to walls and ceilings, the Tick lies in wait inside buildings. It lunges for your face and latches on, slowly draining health and shields until you rip it free or an ally takes it out with a precision swing or shot.

Turret header image

Turret

moderate Threat
No Armor

A small automated sentry mounted on walls and ceilings scanning for movement and defending key areas; typically in close, narrow corridors. Although a relatively weak armament of light weapons it can be a challange in confined area combined with other ARCs.

Wasp header image

Wasp

moderate Threat
No Armor

A compact aerial scout drone that harasses Raiders with quick bursts of light ammo, flashing a red aiming laser just before it fires. Lightly built and unarmored taking two or three precise hits to the exposed thrusters will swat it from the sky. Rarely alone; Wasps hunt in small groups, sometimes with a Hornet.
